The Golden Goals Group Agreement
The Golden Goals whole life design groups are facilitated micro-communities of women who meet in person four times over one year to work together toward their goals taking a design thinking approach.
Values and Goals
Community. A driving force behind The Golden Goals is the building of relationships and community among women.
Authenticity. A Golden Goals group encourages openness and transparency among members. It’s an environment where women can bring their full selves and feel free to be themselves.
Confidentiality. For authenticity to take root, members must be able to trust that what is discussed within the group will not be shared outside the group. A Golden Goals group is a sacred circle of trust among women as they share, witness, amplify, and support each others’ whole life goals. The Golden Goals facilitator further agrees not to disclose any information pertaining to any members without the member's written consent and will not disclose a member's name as a reference without the member's consent.
Radical Collaboration. Members of a Golden Goals group will have different backgrounds, skills, experiences, and approaches. Participation is inspired by a desire to learn from, offer, and embrace diverse perspectives within the process of problem-solving, idea generation, solutions-finding, and goal-setting.
Respect. Group members will maintain due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, and perspectives of others in the group and always treat others how they would like to be treated. Members will give space and time for each member to speak and be heard.
Availability. The Golden Goals groups meet in person four times a year over one year. Since there are no 'make up' sessions, a primary responsibility of members of the group is to prioritize attendance at these meetings including arriving on time and staying for their duration. While the degree of engagement in dialogue between sessions is optional and might vary, there is an expectation that members of the group will be there to support and celebrate each other throughout the duration of a Golden Goals group.
This agreement is between the MEMBER and THE GOLDEN GOALS.
THE GOLDEN GOALS provides the MEMBER with: a micro-community of women they can work together with toward their whole life goals; dedicated facilitation of the group employing a curriculum and approach rooted in, but not limited to, design thinking; pre-session and between session exercises; and ongoing support within a private communication channel set up by THE GOLDEN GOALS at the first session.
The MEMBER is responsible for co-creating and implementing her own physical, mental, and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, actions, and results. The MEMBER agrees that THE GOLDEN GOALS is not and will not be liable for any actions or inaction or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided by THE GOLDEN GOALS.
The MEMBER understands that THE GOLDEN GOALS group is not a group therapy circle and does not substitute for therapy if needed. The MEMBER will seek independent professional guidance for legal, mental, medical, or other such matters.
The MEMBER agrees to communicate honestly, be open to feedback and assistance, and create the time and energy to participate fully in THE GOLDEN GOALS whole life design group.
The group will meet in person four times over one year.
Each in person session will be at least five hours in duration.
The group will connect via a private communication channel (e.g. group text, WhatsApp group, email) for ongoing support between sessions.
The group will meet in: January / April / July / October, February / May / August / November, or March / June / September / December. Groups can start any month and go for a year.
The group will meet on weekdays or weekends.
Sessions will take place in the homes of group members or the facilitator.
Sessions will begin at 10:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM.
The session host will cook rice for the group and will provide tea or coffee. Attending group members (and facilitator) will each bring a topping for a rice bowl. There will be a short break for lunch.
The group time will typically consist of a warm-up, sharing of a concept, a group exercise, and then time for each member to narrate their goals followed by group discussion, ideation, and prototyping.
The group will be a closed group with all members staying the same throughout its duration.
Group members will attend and actively participate in the process.
Groups are encouraged to continue meeting after the facilitated sessions end.
This agreement is valid upon clicking the button below. The Facilitated Goals Group fee of $995 is a one-time payment due up-front unless otherwise agreed upon.
THE GOLDEN GOALS is a one year facilitated small group process, requiring the full commitment of all participants. Because each MEMBER’S full commitment is necessary for the group to have the highest value for all of the participants, there can be no refunds or credits of any kind after the MEMBER has been placed into a group, has signed this agreement, and has paid the membership fee. This includes partial refunds for missed in person sessions. By joining a THE GOLDEN GOALS group, you also agree to the meeting dates and format of the program.
Except as expressly provided in this agreement, THE GOLDEN GOALS makes no guarantees or warranties, express or implied. In no event will THE GOLDEN GOALS be liable to the MEMBER for consequential or special damages. Notwithstanding any damages that the MEMBER may incur, THE GOLDEN GOALS' entire liability under this agreement, and the MEMBER’S exclusive remedy, will be limited to the amount paid by the MEMBER to THE GOLDEN GOALS under this agreement for all services rendered.
